The Robison name has been synonymous with quality construction and building in Dumfries & Galloway for over 100 years.
After 35 years in the industry (with Robison & Davidson Ltd. and Ashleigh (Scotland) Ltd.), over half at Contract Director level, Colin Robison founded Robison Construction, now in its ninth year of trading.
Contracts undertaken have ranged from internal & external refurbishment, house extensions (including a large ‘Eco home’) to new build homes. The attention to customer requirements and quality of workmanship in the finished product has led to three repeat projects in the last year alone.
The company’s approach is to provide a ‘hands on’ approach to projects, from pre-start meetings to handover and beyond. If necessary a ‘one stop’ solution encompassing all design, permissions and utilities can be supplied to allay the fears of clients unfamiliar with the potential obstacles in the build process.
Planning & project management is key to the successful completion of a scheme on time and within budget and to this end every offer contains a programme of works highlighting critical timings to ensure completion by the agreed end date. On acceptance this programme is also given to any specialist subcontractors to ensure their compliance with the overall schedule. On larger projects where stage payments are required this also allows clients to organise funds against instalment milestones.
The company continues to expand and has recently taken on apprentices to ensure that the ‘Robison Way’ of working is sustained on future projects.
